Upper Yellowstone River Retreat

We welcome you and your family to our piece of mile-high paradise on the banks of the Yellowstone River. If "roughing it" in a cabin, camper, or tent is not your cup of tea, please join us and the amenities of our spacious four bedroom ranch home. Our home is fully equipped for your stay including kitchen utensils and appliances, basic pantry staples, dish and laundry soap, and outdoor gas grill. Four bedrooms with queen-sized beds and themed rooms provide comfortable space for up to eight guests. For traveling families or large groups we also offer a portable crib, child's air mattress, and queen sized air mattress at no extra charge.

Magnificent Yellowstone National Park begins on the far bank of the river, across from our home! Enjoy spectacular views of Electric Peak (elevation 10,969 feet) from our family room, dining room, and spacious deck. Listen to the Yellowstone River, the longest dam-free river in the continental United States. Our seasonal, backyard animal visitors include elk, deer, bison, bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, bald eagles, and grizzly bears.

The home is perfectly situated for immediately enjoying all the activities that the Greater Yellowstone Area has to offer.

Fly fish: Fish directly from our backyard. Hiking: Thousands of acres of US Forest Service land are just adjacent to our property, or you can explore Yellowstone National Park. Hunting: Miles of game country nearby. Horseback Riding: Bring your horse! Your pony can stay in our 60 by 80 foot corral ($10 per horse per day). Please note: feed and supplies are not supplied. Guided horseback rides with one of the several companies are also a fun way to explore the area. Your other pets can stay as well for $10 per pet per day. Rafting: Grab an inner tube and jump in the river right out of our backyard or wave at the house as you float by on a guided raft trip. Swimming: Not for the faint of heart... Brrr! For those wanting to splash about and seriously cool off, there is a good hole in the river at McConnel Landing, a seven minute walk up the Yellowstone River. Shopping: A short 5 minute drive brings you to downtown Gardiner with its Old West shops, restaurants, grocery, and fuel. Visiting Yellowstone: Enter the North Entrance of Yellowstone Park through the historic Roosevelt Arch, just minutes by car in downtown Gardiner.
