Shoshone Condominium Hotel
Our Shoshone Condo is nestled at the base of Lone Peak in the still-wild Northern Rocky Mountains in the Mountain Village of Big Sky. Big Sky is located halfway between Bozeman and West Yellowstone on highway 191, as you drive through the legendary Gallatin River Canyon. The movie The River Runs Through It was filmed here. From the Bozeman airport (BZN) where you can rent a car, you can be at our condo within 1 hour. There are also shuttle services available that stop at the front door of our Shoshone Condominium Hotel at Big Sky. Also, available once you arrive is the free Big Sky Shuttle that runs regularly from the Shoshone & Mountain Village to shops and conveniences in the Meadow Village, Town Center, Cinema, and to Restaurants in the Gallatin River Canyon. For day trips you're within an hour of Yellowstone Nat'l Park the historic old-west Gold Rush towns of Virginia City & Nevada City.Our mountain retreat in the Shoshone Condo Hotel is a very quiet corner with amazing views of Lone Peak and the Spanish Peaks from every room. Beehive Basin, a favorite trail for hiking, wildflowers, wildlife, and pristine alpine lakes is located in the Spanish Peaks caldera, viewed from our great room window. The king-bedroom is private with a full private bath. The great room features 2 walls of windows providing sunrise and sunset views. The great room sleeps 4 with a queen sofa bed and queen Murphy bed that folds away easily. A second full bath is off the great room. Six adults can lounge comfortably with overstuffed sofa, chairs, and rocker. Both the bedroom and great room have flat screen TVs.
The full kitchen is well stocked with all appliances, cookware, dishes, glassware, silverware, and cleaning products! We add extras like coffee, tea, pottery mugs, cereals, spices and staples. The dining area table seats 6. Since we own and manage our condo and have direct contact with our guests we can offer the best price and upgraded furnishings and amenities. All furnishings and artwork are new and in keeping with the Shoshone's name and Native American tribe that first inhabited this area and influenced the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
Keep an eye out for wildlife during breakfast or at sundown out the greenroom window as they traverse the route to/from Lake Levinsky. After breakfast pick up your skis in the boot locker room downstairs & walk to the slopes. In summer get an early start to hike the famous Beehive Basin Trail (nestled in of the Spanish Peaks seen out the Great Room window). It's our favorite hike; a riot of wildflowers all summer and mountain lakes and amazing views at the top.
The Shoshone is the closest lodging connected to the YELLOWSTONE CONFERENCE CENTER in Big Sky's Mountain Village. Our shared lobby hosts the Conference Center entrance, concierge, restaurants, shops, the Solace Spa and Salon, our PRIVATE AND STAFFED HEALTH CLUB WITH INDOOR/OUTDOOR POOL AND SPA, the ski locker room, theater and more. Walk to the mountain mall, BASECAMP activities, entertainment, and many dining options. Our private indoor/outdoor pool and spa features the only lap lane swimming at Big Sky, plus an area for family swimming. The large patio is private with umbrella tables & chairs plus the lounge chairs pool side. The indoor/out door pool and patio area are available year-round. Watch skiers from the pool in winter, moose in summer.
