Lone Mountain Ranch Guided Recreational Services

Fly Fishing: The Lone Mountain Ranch fly fishing program is based on a two-tiered structure. The primary element of this structure is fly fishing instruction and technique refinement. The second, equally important element of our fishing program is to educate our guests about the science of fly fishing and the entire ecosystem that the trout call home. Your fly fishing trip will be tailored specifically based on your interests and skill level. Lone Mountain Ranch has a full time guide staff. As a fishing guest at the Ranch, you can explore the wilderness of Yellowstone National Park, escape to a high mountain lake or stream in the Lee Metcalf Wilderness via horseback, travel to private spring creeks, search for "gulpers"on Hebgen Lake, or fish one of four blue-ribbon troutrivers. These rivers include the Gallatin, Madison, Yellowstone and Missouri.

Horseback Riding: Our wranglers will guide you through some of the most diverse and spectacular scenery in the west. Whether you are horseback riding on the Ranch, in the bordering Lee Metcalf Wilderness or Gallatin National Forest or in Yellowstone National Park, all of your riding takes place in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. We have a well-trained herd of horses and experienced wranglers who lead our rides with enjoyment, education and safety in mind. We offer day rides ranging from a 30 minute pony ride for children under 6, 2 hour half day rides in the morning or afternoon and 5-8 hour all day rides.
