Johnstad's B&B and Log Cabin

Johnstad's & Breakfast & Log Cabin is located near Emigrant, which once flourished as a trade center for area miners as well as tourists on their way to Yellowstone National Park via the railroad. We are surrounded by the stunning mountain peaks of Paradise Valley, the Beartooth/Absaroka Wilderness and short scenic drives to Yellowstone National Park, Bridger Bowl Ski Area and the historic towns of Livingston and Bozeman.

We are situated on five acres and have private access to blue ribbon trout fishing on the Yellowstone River. This stretch of river is usually quite productive from the bank or easy wading. The river shore is also a wonderful place to watch bald eagles or sit quietly with a book under Montana's Big Sky.

In our B&B we have three spacious rooms. The rooms are very private with a dedicated guest entrance. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, queen size bed and glorious mountain views. The Rainbow Room features an antique French bed and is decorated with a fishing motif. The large Fjord Room has photos taken by Ron on a trip to Norway and original Scandinavian handwork crafted by Mary Ellen. The Winter Wheat Room is decorated with family antiques. Full breakfast is also provided.

The modern Log Cabin provides a great private holiday retreat for family and friends. The cabin's three bedrooms comfortably accommodate six adults. The cabin also includes a living room, two baths, laundry facilities, an outdoor grille and complete kitchen with modern appliances.

Although the B&B and Log Cabin are both new, we are not. We moved to this area of Montana over 40 years ago, raised our children here and are happy to share with you about exploring this wonderful part of the great American West.
