Elk Ridge Outfitters

Elk Ridge Outfitters is located near Wilsall, Montana, in the Bridger Mountain Range, approximately twenty miles northeast of Bozeman. Our camp is a full-service tent camp which is accessible by a four-wheel drive vehicle. We offer guided hunts for elk, mule deer, antelope, black bear, mountain goat, and mountain lion, along with home style meals and a friendly atmosphere, which we hope will add to your hunting enjoyment.

Our hunting area in the Bridger Mountains consists of 28,000 acres of private land and 6,400 acres of adjoining public land. Our hunting is done on foot, four-wheel drive, and horseback at an elevation of 5,000 - 8,000 feet. Within this hunting district, the Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks only allows taking brow tine bull elk or cows, which enables us to have a high success rate for 5 and 6 point bulls. Because the majority of our hunting is done on private land, we are better able to manage the game harvest and therefore offer a high-quality big game hunt.

Doug Landers has owned and operated Elk Ridge Outfitters since 1985. Born in this area, he is a second-generation Landers. He grew up hunting, trapping, and enjoying the Bridger Mountains outdoors. Also, he is a member of Montana Outfitters and Guides Association, Gallatin Outfitters Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and National Rifle Association.
