Yellowstone Riverview Cabin
Yellowstone Riverview Cabin was built in 2007 and designed to look like the traditional Montana barn. However - it does have all the amenities that you can expect in a comfortable vacation home. Because it's located only 10 minutes from Yellowstone Park's original entrance in Gardiner, Montana, our Yellowstone Riverview Cabin is the perfect place for naturalists, wildlife enthusiasts and photographers who will be able to access first light and twilight - the best times for wildlife viewing!
The great room has a vaulted ceiling with panoramic windows to light the room with gorgeous views of Yankee Jim Canyon and the Yellowstone River. The happy hour wet bar, overstuffed furniture and custom stained glass wildlife panels are the perfect setting for relaxation after an adventurous day in our first national park. There's room for 8 at the dining room table in front of a beautiful wildlife mural and comfy woodstove. The roll top desk is loaded with information, maps, guides and more on Yellowstone Country.
There are three bedrooms - one with a queen size bed, the second with a king size and the third has two sets of bunks for the kids. The den has a Captain's Bed as well as a comfy leather sofa and there are lots of DVDs for all night movie enthusiasts! The couch in the great room also opens up to a queen size bed.
The custom designed stone kitchen has everything you need to create a gourmet dinner and there's a table for 3 with seating at the bar - this is really a great kitchen. Don't forget the dining room seats 8 also. You will enjoy the gorgeous custom stain glass sunflowers in the windows that take the place of valances.
We do offer lunch catering for guests. Our healthy menu includes homemade specialties and organics from our garden. We prepare meals fresh each morning, pack it in a wonderful picnic basket and deliver it to you before you embark on your day's journey!
This cabin is ideal for naturalists, wildlife enthusiasts and photographers, because it is situated in Paradise Valley, a majestically beautiful wildlife corridor directly connected to Yellowstone Park. Big horn sheep, deer and elk can be viewed regularly.
And you are only minutes away from the two million acre playground known as Yellowstone Park. Whether it's horseback riding, whitewater rafting, hiking, geyser gazing or fishing the Yellowstone River and its many streams, creeks, lakes and ponds - you'll find it all right at your doorstep at Yellowstone Riverview Cabin! An added bonus is private pottery or stained glass lessons at the owner's studio - for those rainy days! We supply our guests with tons of information, guide books, maps, trail guides and anything that you might need to make your vacation with us a wonderful memory!
This is a great place for a winter vacation, because it's close to Gardiner, which is the only entrance to the park that is car-accessible year round. That plowed road remains open all winter all the way through to Tower Falls, the Lamar Valley and Cooke City. Many groomed trails for cross-country skiing are located along this road. Or snowshoe Yellowstone with a park ranger, leaving from Mammoth Hot Springs (5 miles from Gardiner). You can also attend a talk about "Wolves in Yellowstone" at the Albright Visitor Center there (307-344-2263), and then take a Lamar Valley Wildlife tour with Xanterra Tours (866-439-7375).
If you love the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains and look forward to visiting Yellowstone Park with all its natural beauty and wildlife, you're sure to enjoy your stay at Yellowstone Riverview Cabin!
