Brief Description: This lovely hillside home in the heart of the Paradise Valley gives visitors easy access to Yellowstone National Park, the Yellowstone River, Chico Hot Springs, and other fantastic area activities. A large second story deck provides stunning views across to the Absaroka Mountains and down to the bends of the Yellowstone River below, making it a super place to return to and relax after a day of adventures.
Bedrooms and baths: The main level has a master bedroom with a king size bed and sliding glass doors to the deck so you can wake up to spectacular mountain views. The master bedroom also has a spacious connected bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and shower. A second bedroom on the main level has a queen size bed (and is attached to a small office area in case you need to get some work done during your stay!) There is a half bath just across the hall from the second bedroom. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen size bed and the other with two twin beds. These two rooms attach to a shared full bath with tub and shower.
Kitchen: A spacious, open kitchen with new appliances awaits you! It's stocked with all the tools you'll need for a great stay, including a ceramic top stove and standard kitchen appliances like a dishwasher and microwave. There is a nice bar counter for chatting with the cook, a mobile butcher's block for easier food preparation and additional counter space, and the open dining area is just off to the side. There is a gas barbecue on the deck for outdoor grilling.
Dining Area: The dining table right off the kitchen will seat eight comfortably, and there are two seats at the bar for overflow. The dining area has a sliding door that opens to the back deck -- a great place to enjoy the views and your morning coffee or an evening cocktail.
Living Areas: The great room has huge windows looking out to the east on the beautiful mountain and Paradise Valley views and is combined with the dining area and kitchen for one large gathering space. There is a comfortable leather sofa, two cozy chairs, and a 55' wall-mounted HD TV, DVD player and satellite service. A second living area, a downstairs family room, includes a sofa, 38' Flat Screen TV, two chairs and sliding glass doors leading out to the back yard. This downstairs living area also includes a piano and guitar for the musicians in the family, and a bar and kitchenette off to the side, making it another great gathering place in this home.
Setting, acreage, and views: Flying Eagle affords incredible views both toward the high mountain peaks of the Absaroka and Gallatin Mountains, and down to the winding Yellowstone River. The yard is landscaped with trees and a well cared-for lawn, making it a great place for the kids to play outside. You'll likely see deer feeding in the field below the house and possibly even a bald eagle or two!
Activities nearby: Fish on the nearby Yellowstone River, go horseback riding, rafting, hiking, or mountain biking. Chico Hot Springs is just 10 minutes away, the artsy town of Livingston is 30 minutes north, and the funky downtown of Emigrant with a great saloon and bakery is just 5 minutes away. Closest town and airport: You are just 5 minutes away from the Emigrant General Store for basic groceries, 30 minutes from Livingston, and about an hour away from Bozeman's Gallatin Field Airport.
