Ready to bring your comedy ideas to life? Join us for an intensive, hands-on sketchwriting course inspired by the iconic Saturday Night Live format! Whether you're a comedy fan, an aspiring writer, or just eager to try something new, this class will guide you through the process of creating a full comedy episode from scratch. Throughout the course, you’ll write for a cast of six talented actors, using their reels to inspire your characters and sketches. By the end, you’ll have helped shape a cohesive, hilarious comedy episode. The course culminates in a classic industry table read, where the cast returns to bring your sketches to life in front of the group and a gallery of invited guests. It’s the perfect chance to see your work performed, get feedback, and celebrate with fellow writers. On the final “crunch night,” we’ll come together for a celebratory dinner as we finalize our sketches and get ready for the big read. This course is led by Joe Borden, former writer and co-producer for Tosh.0, who brings years of experience and insider tips to the table. Joe will guide you through brainstorming, writing, and refining your sketches, helping you bring out your comedic voice. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your funny bone and get ready to laugh!
