We invite you to the 12th Annual Hebgen Lake ice fishing tournament: meet and greets, camaraderie, Kids Camp, cash, and prizes. And, while you are here, enjoy all the winter activities our area has to offer. The actual Ice Fishing Tournament is a single day event held on Saturday, January 20th, "sun up" to 2pm. The West Yellowstone / Hebgen Lake Tournament on January 19-20, 2024 is a mix of socializing and competition, with a maximum entry of 90 two-persons teams. This Tournament will have an estimated prize pool of at least $10,000.00 (based on 50 teams). Plus, there are cash payouts from the Calcutta on Saturday night benefitting the Kids’N’Snow Ice Fishing Camps. For those weekend days, West Yellowstone becomes the center of Ice Fishing with socializing and pre-fishing opportunities on Friday and World Class Competition on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Pack up the modern day version of woolies and join us in West Yellowstone, Montana. Add great snowmobiling, snowcoach tours, cross-country skiing and snow shoeing for an invigorating weekend in winter. The prize money is 80% of the entry fees. The actual pay out amounts may vary based on the teams that enter. 50 teams has been the average of the last 5 years. Thanks Destination Yellowstone (dba Chamber/CVB), West Yellowstone Businesses (MAP Fund), Northwestern Energy, and individual and business donors, who have all contributed through the years to make this event possible. Friday - January 19, 2024 Friday Night Gathering Pre-fish Hebgen, when you want, sunrise is 8:00 am to 4:30pm Pre-Fishing Pre-fish start when you would like, sunrise is 8:01 am to 4:00 pm. All scouting/pre-fishing activities must be complete, and all registered participants OFF the ice by the 4PM commencement of registration/packet pick-up. Rules meetings will begin at 630 PM. Any team or team member on the ice after 4pm will be disqualified with no refund. Friday Night Mandatory Rules Meeting Rules Meeting and Dinner will be held at the Yellowstone Brewing Company starting numbers, and rules meeting. Calcutta, sponsored by the Chamber the benefactor is West Yellowstone’s Kid's-n-Snow ice fishing program. Saturday - January 20, 2024 Saturday Morning Tournament Tournament, Lineup and inspection will begin at 6:30am and teams released by 730am. Weigh in at 2:00 pm, lake side Kirkwood marina. 4:00 pm, Awards Ceremony, at Yellowstone Brewing Company, FB Live and pay outs. Must be present to win. Other activities Snowmobile Rentals & Yellowstone Park Over-Snow Tours Come a day early or stay a day later and enjoy other winter activities, offered by our Sponsors. You can rent a variety of snowmobiles (including gas and all gear). Full day snowmobile and snowcoach tours leave from West Yellowstone and travel over the snow into Yellowstone's wintry wonderland of steaming geysers and amazing wildlife.
