Morning Glory Pool is known as the most beautiful pool in all of Yellowstone, with a resemblance of the morning glory flower. The 1959 earthquake had changed the pool considerably to such an extent that the water had become cloudy, although in recent years it has cleared up and again reflects the blue of the sky. It is again losing some of its beautiful color, because visitors have thrown refuse in to it and its vents have become clogged.
