Belgrade; An Authentic Montana Town in the Center of Yellowstone Country

Eleven miles down the road from Bozeman, Belgrade is one of Montana’s most authentic small towns, known for its agriculture, wide open spaces and small-town feel. It’s growing rapidly because of its quality of life, but visitors are also catching on. Centrally located, you can easily access Big Sky, the Bridger Mountain Range, Livingston and Yellowstone National Park. A base camp in Belgrade makes perfect sense for those packing in a few stops.
Things to Do
Close to fishing, hiking, skiing, golf and biking, Belgrade is uniquely positioned to enjoy the fantastic recreation in the Gallatin Valley, while providing a quiet spot to return home to. During the summer months, kids love the splash park with a variety of water features. Or, just down the road in Four Corners, Bozeman Hot Springs, and Jump Time are also great places to take the family.
Belgrade Summer Nights is a downtown block party on Broadway Street that features live music, food trucks and local artisans for a family-friendly event. The events are on Wednesdays, but they aren’t consecutive, so watch the schedule.
If you’re visiting in the fall, the Belgrade Fall Festival coincides with the local homecoming festivities, including a parade, pancake breakfast, community lunch, vendors, car show, kid’s zone and food trucks.
And during the holidays, you won’t want to miss the Festival of Lights, and the Christmas Truck Convoy & Truck Village where 100 trucks, tractors and trailers are decked in holiday lights and convoy through the neighborhoods. It’s a lovely sight and a community favorite.
Gallatin Speedway, the only speedway in the area, holds weekly races throughout the summer. Before the races, we suggest a trip to the tasting rooms of either Madison Brewing Co. or Bar 3 BBQ and Brewing — the BBQ at Bar 3 is delicious!

Where to Eat
Speaking of dining, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the options. You can read more details on our blog, but let me say that the variety and quality of restaurants are impressive. There’s also a farmers market every Thursday through the summer, and given the rich soil around the area, the produce is fantastic.
