Fins & Feathers of Bozeman is centrally located for exploring the many fine wild trout rivers of southwest Montana. The Gallatin River is just a stone's throw from our front door and the Yellowstone and Madison rivers are each within a 30 minute drive. In addition to these well-known rivers, the region includes several spring creeks, small freestone creeks as well as multiple stillwater options. Our guided services include trips on these waters and many other rivers throughout the region. Our guided services emphasize teaching both first-time and expert anglers about the essentials needed to effectively fly-fish for trout in southwest Montana. Each of our guides are experienced and patient professionals that work tirelessly to ensure that each of our guests have an exceptional experience on every trip. Once again in 2006, we are honored to be the only guide service in Bozeman to be endorsed by Orvis. This endorsement comes as the result of our commitment to customer service as well as our proven abilities on the regions water. Montana fisheries management is based around maintaining wild, self-sustaining trout populations in the various river systems. As a result, the regional rivers and streams have healthy populations of Rainbow, Brown, and Cutthroat Trout in a wide range of sizes. Hatcheries are only used to maintain trout populations in reservoirs and lakes where they do not successfully reproduce, thus the vast majority of our fishing focuses on pursing truly wild trout. We offer a wide range of guided fly-fishing services, including day trips, half-day trips, overnight river trips, and multi-day excursions throughout the region. Our website: http://www.finsandfeathersonline.com, is a terrific source for gathering more information about planning a fishing trip to the region.
