The beauty and serenity of the Yellowstone River Corridor lends inspiration to artists throughout Montana’s Paradise Valley and beyond. The Yellowstone River, the longest undammed river in the lower 48 states, runs through the corridor with an abundance of exceptional fishing and rafting. For fishing enthusiasts, check out the beautiful Boulder River, which eventually flows into the Yellowstone River, or the Stillwater River, which flows through Custer National Forest. Try a guided trip or just stop and throw a line in the water.
Gardiner is the northern entrance to Yellowstone National Park and the first town in the corridor that the Yellowstone River flows through. While there, don’t miss the opportunity for an invigorating hot springs experience in the Boiling River or spotting the many elk that graze the lawns in Mammoth.
And did you know? A River Runs Through It, and The Horse Whisperer were both shot in Yellowstone Country, which should give you some idea of the magic you can capture in pictures of the area.
