The Gallatin River Corridor is packed with adventure, history and culture. The Gallatin and Madison rivers offer exceptional fishing, rafting and kayaking. Three destination ski resorts and North America’s best Nordic skiing are all part of the west end of Yellowstone Country. Bozeman is home to the Museum of the Rockies, Montana State University and Montana’s most accessible airport.
The town of Big Sky marks the halfway point between Bozeman and West Yellowstone and the drive along the Gallatin River is nothing short of spectacular. West Yellowstone is the western entrance to Yellowstone National Park, which is well-known for its miles of guided snowmobile access.
Headwaters State Park, which marks the convergence of the Gallatin, Madison and Jefferson rivers to form the Missouri River, is in Three Forks, for those of you following the famous trail. Buffalo Jump State Park is also in close proximity to the town of Three Forks.
