On Thyme Gourmet is a fresh herb company that sells fresh chopped herbs in a jar and fresh herbs and garlic made with olive oil, or butter. The herbs and hard neck garlic are grown on our farm in arid Montana. Our herbs and garlic have a stronger, dynamic flavor because of our region's hot arid summers, with only 4 inches of rainfall per year. We choose to use a variety of Hardneck garlic called Korean Red and a Purple stripe called Siberian. We found that these two varieties work best with our products giving them that subtle garlic flavor. We grow both Genovese and Sweet Basil, Tai Basil which is actually Siam Queen Basil, English Thyme, Greek Oregano and Culinary Sage. In our fresh herbed seasonings we use only the highest quality oils and butters. We've added something NEW to our line of foods! Fresh Herbed Natural Sea Salts. We searched the world over for organic sea salt and found it only in New Zealand. Sea Salt is coarser in texture and is wonderful in soups, salads, sprinkled on vegetables, and rubbed into meats before cooking. Just before baking bread or pretzels, brush dough with an egg wash and generously sprinkle with our Fresh Herb Sea Salt with Garlic. Replace your table salt with our Fresh Herb Sea Salt teaspoon for teaspoon wherever you want the taste of fresh herbs and the subtle taste of Sea Salt.
